It's really hard to decide how to rate this. Some parts are fun; I'm in love with the end result. I couldn't believe the light actually worked; I was certain I broke it because the wire was very delicate. At the same time; some parts are very frustrating. Pieces were missing like some vases. Luckily at the end there's extra vases that are unused; but don't match the ones used in the instructions. I don't know if they give you extra pieces on purpose but I ended up with a lot of parts. All the extra pieces make it feel like you're missing something. Maybe I just got all the pieces other people are missing and they have the pieces I'm missing. My biggest problem was that a lot of the wooden pieces are warped and caused things to not fit together correctly. I ended up chopping off some of the wooden tabs that are meant to slide into the other parts; and just gluing them together. Otherwise; it wouldn't have worked. There was no way to make them fit. Nothing lined up correctly. Near the end of the project is where your sanity starts to slip and all of the errors in manufacturing made me want to give up. It's up to you to find your own solutions for the poor manufacturing. The instructions can be incomplete and hard to understand; I found myself just winging it at some points. Some of the grammar makes me think it has been translated from a different language; maybe the instructions make perfect sense in the original language. It's annoying when you're instructed to make a specific number of those tiny tissue flowers when they don't intend for you to use them for a few pages. One page can take an hour depending on where you're at and it can get difficult to keep track of everything. God forbid you sneeze and send all those tiny pieces of paper flying. I used a lot of tools of my own that I cannot image completing this without. I used round nose pliers; cable strippers and higher quality tweezers. The tweezers in the kit are no good. You'll also need more clamps than it says you'll need if you want to make a good amount of progress in one night. Overall I'm left wondering if this is a bad reproduction of some of the other similar models that I saw. I plan on getting another model eventually; but I'm definitely going to try a different brand.
